Description:
This room of the Saxonian state chancellery was redesigned for representative events such as official receptions of high ranking politicians or press conferences. The left wall with a height of 13 feet was built of Saxonian sandstone panels weighing around 440 Lbs each. The opposing wall was finished in polished plaster. The sockets for the journalists’ recorders are located in the sideboard in front of this wall. The ornamental design of the carpet was inspired by the details of the escutcheon.
